Happy times :) After dinner all the cousins spent 1 1/2 hours teaching Marcus how to say "Please give me the ball" and "Thank you"... I think I'm going to dream of that sentence tonight leh. But he still refuses to get past "Please gimme ball" and "Thank you ball" (Y) Line of the night came from my aunt, who said in defense of Marcus, "Eh you don't see he like that hor, he is quite clever you know! That day I gave him sweet then he said "P-I-G"' HAHAHA NO LINK MAX LEH VV GOOD

Also so many racist comments were passed during the Idol finale I now realise where my father gets his genes from very very good leh.

Miss my old phone cam... :( Nothing takes food pictures as well as it does :( Currently filled with irritation and deep, bubbling anger (mostly at SingTel and partly with myself) whenever I look at new phone urgh hate it but it better not spoil or not I will really stab myself.

Yesterday in church, after Christmas Mass had ended - We usually kneel down to say a short silent prayer before leaving the church.
Everyone: (praying silently)
(After 10 seconds)
Brother: (giggles) I just said grace.

Omg he pray that time never concentrate at all one leh (Y)

Went over to my 大姨's house to nua after church, then went to Vivo with Pa and Kenneth to collect turkey. Passed Harry on the way and he was smoking and drinking watermelon juice at the same time wow damn good leh no money still smoke. Vivo was packed to the brim I tell you vvv amazing. When we returned I caught sight of a grinning S**K**... his mouth had a metallic glint to it leh but donno if its braces or gold teeth. Liching say if gold teeth is like HHF in DWM... and WQ even kinder she said smth along the lines of now we know where he keeps his loot (Y)

Anyhoo, Xmas dinner, prepped by my 大姨 and Papa:



I may not be wealthy but I've had the fortune of tasting very good food (mostly thanks to my 老爸) but wow I have to say that my aunt's sambal chilli prawns are out of this world. Really eat already will :O WowWwwWw~~

Went for tuition in the morning, then attended Shalon's bday party junnow... Her house is really quaint and pretty. Ling and I had some time to burn before the party started so we ended up at Gardens feasting on snacks (Y)

Mmmm it's all rainy and cold outside... Just like how Christmas Eve should be. Now if only I could freeze the rain...

What WQ and I had for tea on Monday. My orh nee was soaked in shallot oil so I gave up halfway (eh rhyme!!!!)



Lunch was at the 2.30 chicken rice shop, following which we took the first train that came along (which was heading toward town), then changed our minds and boarded the train back to SK (the district) and idled a large part of the afternoon away, then returned to HG for tea. Amazing how we can while the day away in a neighbourhood we've lived in for 21 years, but on Monday all the people who should be working were working so it was very fun ;)

On Tuesday MY came over and we koped valuable files from each other's HDDs (Y) ;) Then I met WQ to head down to town. Ate an azuki fish and 2 sticks of really garlicky (but good) Korean crispy chicken from ION basement, then walked through Taka to look for a <$20 present. Ended up at toy fair mutiliating what looked like a Ribena berry with legs. It's from Hi5:



Good leh the improvised wedding veil is actually a tutu skirt for ginnahs. Actually it's not very funny la I donno why I take pictures also... ^^

Moved on to 313 which was pretty crowded and tbh F21 sells a LOT of trash :O Then stopped over at Centrepoint for soybean milk before moving to PS where it was people mountain people sea... Because Jay Chou and Chiling Lin were there.



No la they'd left already but there were tbls taking pictures of the stage still, which was very confusing. Had Jay Chou appeared?? Had he left?? Why would you wanna take photos of an empty stage??? Somemore they hovered for very long leh wow really boliao. Okay I take photo of people taking photo so I cannot judge la huh.

All the distance we covered, all the squeezing through throngs and throngs of people, all the deliberating outside restaurant after restaurant, only to wind up... back in HG for dinner -.- Omg leh we keep ending up at Ajisen should just get the membership card la.



Nomss some hot soup now would be nice... T.T

Come 2010, I will be embarking on a losing 1kg per month instalment plan (rhyme again!), which I will have to keep up until August and then WQ will carry out her end of the bargain ;) Also we got a strategic seat for dinner and were spying on s**k** throughout. After dinner we loitered suspiciously at C0ttonon and peeked at him from in between the racks of the shoe fair waiting for him to knock off so we could see which direction he would walk in... Eventually there were lesser and lesser people in the mall and the security guard closed the entrances so it was difficult to see if he'd left. Shit leh he very sneaky he got away... But we will try again ;) 永不言败 hor omg that's the title of that lousy ch8 show. Actually 'lousy' and 'ch 8' are synonymous with each other hor so I don't have to use both words to describe their programmes :)

But really leh s**k** is very very handsome; all the other salesmen we've seen at all the other j3well3ry shops cannot win him. He is the pride and joy of HG (Y) and I can't believe I just typed something so disgusting out. Oh but he got 一副贼脸 HAHA wow very rude

I spent yesterday in town with Ays, Faith, Rich and JS.



We scoured Taka food basement looking for snacks and stumbled upon this patisserie which had a counter stacked with trays of chocolate lava cakes. The display looked damn good so here it is... But we ended up eating Korean street food (my 2nd day in a row... T.T Nvm diet starts next year). This potato thing should not be consumed alone unless you wish to bleed from your eyes, ears, nostrils and mouth. But wow 它的香味扑鼻而来 'twas a good thing to have. Walked over to 313, where we did nothing except loiter in the atrium omg we didn't even go up the escalators or enter any stores leh.

Ended up at ____ for a Japanese dinner :) Rich's and JS's friend Jasper (whose ex-tuition teacher is my aunt) joined us. He is still a ginnah T.T Boohoohoo where did my youth go. Oh yes I haven't uploaded pictures from my aunt's makeshift Xmas party last Saturday hmm...



'Tis what Aysuria, Faith and I shared. The omu rice was reliably delectable, the hot stone don scaldingly fragrant, and the prawn pizza. Omg it was melt in the mouth leh and got a lot of mayo BUT IT WAS SOOO DAMN GOOD!!! It will help you attain food nirvana but I'm not telling you where you can find it so that the place remains quiet ;) Anyway everyone I know in real life already knows la since I bring all my different friends to the same few places ^^

Not very well-taken pictures, but since my phone display has turned green - in addition to the damn thing not being able to pick up/make any calls - they will have to do. Wow this reminds me... yesterday our dress code was very good leh: Aysuria was wearing a white blouse, Faith a grey blazer, and I was wearing a white blouse and grey blazer VERY AMAZING and we never coordinate hor we are not so boliao :)



After dinner we went to RochorBeancurd to further stuff our already bloated selves. Then while walking back to DobyGot, Ays, Faith and I got separated from the guys because they crossed a road without informing us (Y) and then we just decided to walk on and from there we really 各走各的路 wow no respect. So the 3 of us went to Daiso where we bought a load of stuff and wow their fake lashes looked quite good so I got a couple, since I still have glue left over from WQ's party (Y)(Y) May I have the guts to wear them out this festive season :)

We popped over to Carrefour for our usual ice-cream buying ritual, but Faith got the last tub of green tea, which she hid amidst the CPwonton section so no one could steal it wow very good leh. Then we walked to S|\/|U and sat there for our bi-annual singlehood meeting, which is invoking increasingly deja-vu feelings, like we've had so many of these meetings already that my memories of each are meshed together - BUT YET THERE IS STILL NO PROGRESS :( Sucks.

We concluded it near midnight in typical fashion: That such fantastic people like us are still single because our personalities are too overwhelming for typical men, because we are too territorial wrt food and also because we refuse to settle for less. Woah I smell delusion in the air... but nvm even if we are single we will have our MtSophia condo and since we'll be living together we can call the police to 收尸 if any one of us dies. Too bad for the last person hah.

Although deep down in my heart I hope it doesn't boil down to that boohoohoo TTT.TTT

Okie I'm off for some family bonding time ;) Before I watch the last episode of Seon-Deok tonight omg what will I live for after it ends... Bidam... :(

Merry Christmas everyone! May God shower His love and abundant blessings on you and your family this holiday season, and may all of you find peace and happiness with yourselves :) Be content with what you have! I know I gripe a fair bit, but it's all in good cheer (well... more or less ;)) I'm so thankful for everything I have right now, really. Life could be a lot worse, and I'm happy it isn't.

I've received the best gift of Christmastime - that my bones are fully healed and I CAN RUN. i saw the last of my x-ray 3 months post op. vast improvement from the previous one. my bones have fully fused together, just leaving the swelling to come down, and the pain on the scar tissue. cant quite wear shoes that'll cut across the scar. but having given the green signal that I can resume rowing and what not just puts me on cloud nine. 

of course, there's a dozen other things to be thankful for this season, from being given the opportunity to go abroad to study, to the love my friends have showered upon me during first few weeks after the surgery, to the jibbitz i've received to decorate my crocs ;) the list goes on.

One more posting down! Psychiatry has been rather interesting, some of the conditions being totally bizarre. But I definitely am not planning to specialize in it in future.

And so, with the end of this posting, it's holiday time! I'll be leaving for Taiwan tomorrow (or in fact, later today), and I'll be spending christmas there, returning to singapore on dec 26. I do hope the weather will be perfect, and we'll all have loads of fun!

I pray that the 6 of us will be kept safe and sound, and that nothing major will go wrong.

Taiwan, here I come!

Solly haven't been updating since it's my first completely free day this week... I have a life ;) Somewhat la somewhat

I just returned from the DVD fair at HG Mall and vol 3 of the Queen Seon-Deok DVDs just arrived today!! So the first 45 episodes are on DVD already... That's some impressively efficient production/marketing, considering ep 60 just aired. Plus vols 1 and 2 (first 30 eps) are 50% off, but urgh Chinese subs for period dramas = damn straining to keep up with :( Guess I'll be waiting for the English subbed version... (/dvd rant)

Cue Bidam rant (HAHA you didn't think I wasn't going to mention him, did you?): Omg I am very disgusting... yesterday when I saw him on the TV at HG Mall I felt this incredible sense of longing, like I wanted to jump into the screen to join him HAHAHA AM I GROSS OR NOT YOU SAY okay I stop here

Anyhoo today made for a perfect nua-ing day... I managed to catch up a bit on my dramas and Sims and just napped till I got a headache. Nice feeling ^^

Tuesday we went to explore the newly-opened City Square Mall which is essentially... a less crowded Compass Point in a more central location. Sucks. Scoured Mustafa looking for a pair of elusive buckle pants which WQ wanted very much to buy :) They open and close with a buckle clasp like those used to fasten waistpouches, is very fashion forward :) She liked them so much she bought 7 pairs, one to wear on each day of the week :) Then we walked through a drizzly Little I looking for a place to have dinner, and somehow ended up at Koreanzz which proved especially rewarding after a two mrt station-long walk through cold weather, and a two month-long absence. Lub lub. Angry that TV was showing CNA instead of Ch 8, but too hum to ask the food court people to change the channel. Passed on M&S candies in favour of low-class Big Rabbit at the 24 hour NTUC, the existence of which is actually proving quite useful for pigs craving a late-night bite ^^

Thursday woke up early in the morning with the intention to run... pulled my blanket up when saw it was raining and remember thinking "Snooze 5 mins" and then opened my eyes 2 hours later and was ridiculously late for my appointment at Top One (!!! <3) with a human and a zombie. The fish pangsehed >:( Towards the end of the session Kang the zombie fell asleep for a good hour or so... And then she left WQ the human and I for her grandma's </3 We looked around for a place to eat and ended up at Central's Waraku. I tend to rely on the familiar when it comes to food :( Am no adventurous foodie as much as I would like to think otherwise boohoozZz anyway here be the food:



WQ had a bowl of raw seafood and vegetables :) Okay no la I kidding is a kaminabe but cannot see the soup and she didn't actually buy the buckle pants from Mustafa also she just wanted to show me to laugh at them :( I is liar TTT.TTT ;) EH THE PORK CUTLET wow when I dipped it into the sauce and bit into it I was stunned and my eyes just went O.O. I haven't felt that way about any food for v long, the last time was the smoked duck at the Jap restaurant that we had near Ling's bro's apartment in Hongkong ;) I link back to create impression that I am well-travelled is it working is it working??? ;) Woah but damn was that smoked duck good... 它的味道我终身难忘 T.T The pork cutlet is not nearly as unforgettable, but it's very very good too!! Succulent inside, and coated with a crispy crumbly crust wow major alliteration I am so artsy ;) Later we ended up at the NTUC again (is new HG people hangout) AND THESE CHOCOLATE COATED BELGIUM COOKIES ARE SO SO SO GOOD!!! I've finished half the packet already... :O I be fatty :(

Another buffet awaits tomorrow!! Nomz looks like I'm in good stead to play Santa for any Christmas parties coming up this year T.T BYEBYE SIMS TIME

 batman is a naughty kitty ): his balding severely on his lower tummy as well as his legs and so we decided to book an appointment with the vet at 10.30 this morning. at 10.15, we were fighting against his wailing meows, razor sharp claws & teeth just to put him into his cage which was on the verge of falling apart.

10.45, no success and yknow never mess with a cat when its angry. i gave up and post phoned the appt to 2.30pm. this time, i'll try to lure him in with cuttlefish. but i know it may not work cuz he has an IQ of 300. we shall see.

yesterday, i secretly made my way to bishan's gym on a hungry tummy, cough medication and a lack of sleep. well i wasn't feeling too bad when i reached there. warmed up with 600m of ergo and did the bike. after a couple of rounds of lifting weights, i started to feel oozy, out of breadth. never before had i experienced such a thing. it was either 1. my stamina has hit rock bottom, or 2. cough medication? but it was a non-drowsy formula.

perhaps it might be the lack-of-glucose but i sure felt shocked. now i know what it means to athletes when they have to stay away for a couple of months from an injury. and so, with a spinning head, i made my way to the vending machine and bought H20. think that helped a bit.
